Kapinara maths club

Maths club is designed for Yr 1-3 students who really love maths and would enjoy working together to solve problems. It will not cover much, if any, of the school maths curriculum. The focus will be on abstract thinking, group work and sorting information in order to get to the answer. Also trivial maths-related activities like memorising the digits of pi or solving a Rubik’s cube. Students will be expected to be able to read a little bit, so that they can access written questions, but older students are expected to help the younger ones with this. Maths club will be run by Emma Tomkinson, a parent and maths specialist.

Maths club will be held Tuesday mornings, 7:30-8:30 in Room 2. Students who are late will not have as much time to solve the prize problem of the day.

The cost of maths club is $30 per term. You will get an email with payment details after registering.
